The New England Patriots held a workout with free-agent wide receiver Kevin Dorsey on Tuesday, a league source told Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.
Dorsey, 25, was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL draft, after catching 81 passes for 1,088 yards and nine touchdowns over four seasons at the University of Maryland.
The 6-foot-1, 207-pound Terrapins product, who ran a 4.48 40-yard dash and posted a 38-inch vertical and 130-inch broad jump at his pro day, was placed on injured reserve with a toe injury before the start of his rookie season.
Dorsey played in three games for Green Bay this past season, netting one reception for four yards and two special-teams tackles prior to being placed on injured reserve with a foot injury in November.
He was released by the Packers this past week.
