Running back Stevan Ridley visited the Redskins on Tuesday. (NFL Game Rewind).

First it was the Miami Dolphins. Then it was the New York Jets. And now, it is the Washington Redskins.

Free-agent running back Stevan Ridley visited the Redskins on Tuesday, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston.

The 26-year-old Ridley has amassed 2,817 yards and 22 touchdowns over the course of 649 carries and 52 games with the New England Patriots. But the 5-foot-11, 220-pound back finds himself on the market, testing the possible opportunities ahead of him.

A 2011 third-round pick out of LSU, Ridley saw his fourth NFL season end with a torn ACL and MCL in October. He is on track to be ready for 2015, however.

His top NFL campaign arrived in 2012, when the then-second-year pro started 12 contests and finished with 1,263 rushing yards and 12 scores over 290 attempts.
