The New England Patriots had a meeting with Mike Davis at the combine. And now, the organization is scheduled to have a visit with the South Carolina running back, according to Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller and NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Davis amassed 2,440 rushing yards on 454 carries and 755 receiving yards on 70 catches over three seasons with the Gamecocks.

The 5-foot-9, 217-pound prospect, who finished his college career with 24 total touchdowns, also has visits or workouts lined up with the Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons this month, reports Rapoport.

Davis clocked a 4.61 40-yard dash, a 7.00 three-cone and a 4.18 short-shuttle during his trip to Indianapolis in February, where he also benched 17 reps of 225 pounds and leaped for a 34-inch vertical and 116-inch broad jump.

The South Carolina back, who had his pro day on Wednesday, is projected as a possible third- or fourth-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft later this month.

New England currently owns the rights to four picks between No. 96 and No. 131 overall.
