Western Oregon wide receiver Tyrell Williams is visiting the New England Patriots, according to Rob Rang of CBSSports.com.
Williams, a 2015 NFL draft prospect, caught attention at the Oregon State pro day on March 13. It was there that the 6-foot-3, 204-pound invite clocked a reported 4.42 40-yard dash, a 6.55 three-cone drill, a 4.11 short-shuttle, a 39.5-inch vertical and a 127-inch broad in front of representatives from all 32 teams.
Williams caught 56 passes for 950 yards and eight touchdowns for the Wolves as a senior in 2014, earning first-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference honors for a third time.
The Division II wideout is seen as a potential priority free agent in this spring’s draft.
