The New England Patriots have agreed to terms with free-agent linebacker Chris White, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston.

White, 26, has appeared in 29 games for the Patriots since being acquired off waivers from the Detroit Lions in September of 2013.

The 6-foot-3, 238-pound big-four component has registered 16 tackles over that span, playing a total of seven snaps on the defensive side of the ball, per Pro Football Focus.

White entered the league as a Buffalo Bills sixth-round pick out of Mississippi State in 2011.
