Marcus Forston spent parts of three seasons with New England. (NFL Game Rewind)

On March 22, the NFL will hold its inaugural veteran combine at the Arizona Cardinals’ training facility in Tempe, Ariz.

And among list of free-agent participants are seven players with ties to the New England Patriots.

Zac Robinson, Quarterback: The 28-year-old Robinson was a Patriots seventh-round pick in the 2010 draft out of Oklahoma State. The quarterback has since been a member of the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals.

Mike Kafka, Quarterback: Kafka signed with the Patriots in 2012 after two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, in which he went 11-of-16 passing for 107 yards and two interceptions. The former fourth-round pick out of Northwestern has also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers,

Quentin Hines, Running Back: Hines signed with New England as an undrafted rookie out of Akron in 2013. The halfback was placed on injured reserve after rookie minicamp, and was later waived with a failed-physical designation last March. Hines, 24, has since founded the Rivals Professional Football League, and was also named head football coach at Mount Clemens High School in Michigan this January.

Cierre Wood, Running Back: A Notre Dame product, Wood joined the Patriots’ practice squad in November of the 2013 season after a short stay with the Houston Texans. The 24-year-old rusher has since been a member of the Baltimore Ravens and Seahawks.

LaQuan Williams, Wide Receiver: Williams signed a one-year contract with New England in November of 2013, but was released 10 days later. The 26-year-old wideout and special-teamer has also had three stints with the Ravens, most recently on the practice squad in December of 2014.

Marcus Forston, Defensive Tackle: Forston joined the Patriots as an undrafted rookie via Miami in 2012. The defensive lineman made the 53-man roster that September, before being waived and working back up from the practice squad to appear in one contest. The 25-year-old later played in three games for New England in 2013, recording three tackles. He was waived in August of 2014.

Jordan Love, Cornerback: Love went undrafted out of Towson last May, receiving an invite to Patriots rookie camp on a tryout basis. The 23-year-old was not signed to a contract, and later joined the Brooklyn Bolts of the FXFL.
